Kristine Brokstad, also known by the artist name Broksart, is a Norwegian painter whose work blends abstract and organic forms, inspired by the intricate patterns and textures found in nature. Born in Norway in 1994, her upbringing amongst the forests, fjords and mountains of Northern Europe profoundly influences her vibrant and dynamic paintings. Studying under the esteemed Norwegian classical painter Bjørn Algrim enriched her technique, while her academic background in political science, philosophy, economics, and psychology broadened her perspective on life’s complexities. Now based in Detroit, Kristine continues to explore both figurative and abstract expressions, finding inspiration in nordic nature and her travels throughout Europe.
